Valentin de Boulogne: Beyond Caravaggio

Valentin de Boulogne: Beyond Caravaggio

The Louvre is home, until May 22, 2017, to the first monographic exhibition of the 17th-century French painter Valentin de Boulogne (1591 – 1632).

Called “Valentin de Boulogne: Beyond Caravaggio”, the exhibition is an excellent opportunity to discover a truly interesting selection of the work of this great Tenebrist painter and passionate naturalist follower of the popular Italian painter Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio.

If you’re in Paris and staying at any of our Grands Hotels Parisiens, this is your chance to see this artist’s impressive and suggestive paintings at the Louvre museum, which is located at a short distance of our hotels. Some 50 magnificent pieces are staged on this occasion. So, be there!
