From April 5th until August, 21st, 2017, the Musée de l’Orangerie puts on display “Tokyo-Paris Masterpieces from Bridgestone Museum of Art, Collection Ishibashi Foundation”, a new temporary exhibition that spotlights the Ishibashi Foundation Collection.

Being the fruit of the vigorous efforts of 3 succeeding generations of the Ishibashi industrial dynasty, over a period of more than 80 years, this important collection encompasses more than 2600 pieces of art varying from Impressionist pieces to Western and Japanese works of Modern Art. It holds marvelous paintings by European artists such as Renoir, Monet, Matisse, Picasso, and Cézanne, along with many other unique works by popular Japanese artists who marked the history of art.
