The Colors Music Festival Hits Paris with Eclectic Beats

For the fifth consecutive year, a Parisian music venue called the Nouveau Casino is organizing a hip music festival to keep city dwellers dancing through the night. The festival is called Colors Music Estival, which plays with the similarities between the word festival and the summertime adjective estival. The event has already begun and will last until September 9, 2013.

Exciting performers from all over the world come together in the City of Light to celebrate the Colors Music Estival festival. From Jamaica to Japan, a multitude of countries are represented by both up-and-comers as well as world-famous artists. This includes special guest Mos Def, who will be coming from the United States in order to participate.

The intimate nature of the music hall that is the Nouveau Casino is therefore in stark contrast to the excitement and grandiosity the festival provides. This juxtaposition certainly makes for an interesting festival experience as the audiences gets up close and personal with the artists on the scene.

Guests staying at one of the Grands Hôtels Parisiens can check out the music event during their trip to Paris. The month of August will bring acts such as The Soft Moon, Kronos, Elmute, Dirk Digglah and Pharoahe Monch. The last week of the festival, in September, audience members can expect Crocodiles and Braids. Tickets range from 14 to 38 euros depending on the concert. They can be purchased in advance online (website in French).

The Colors Music Estival festival takes place at the Nouveau Casino, which is found on the Rue Oberkampf in the 11th arrondissement. This neighborhood is known for its hip offerings and vibrant nightlife, as well as its location close to the Bastille. That means visitors to Paris have a multitude of reasons to explore the area.
