Until August 30, Porte de Versailles hosts a unique event of its kind: The Art of the Brick Nathan Sawaya or the incredible Art of Lego.
This traveling exhibition has already attracted over 2 million visitors in North America, Australia, Asia and Europe.
This exhibition showcases more than 100 monumental and playful works of art created with the famous bricks. All these wonders are the fruit of the imagination of the American artist Nathan Sawaya.
On more than 1500 m2, the exhibition will plunge you into a cheerful, colorful and confusiong world just like the artist. A million bricks, and about four thousand two hundred hours of work were necessary for setting up the hundred works that make up this superb collection.
The visitor will find in the exhibition Rodin's Thinker but also the north rose window of the Chartres Cathedral or the skeleton of a dinosaur 6 meters long made of 80,020 LEGO bricks.
Other works are entirely new creations straight out of the imagination of the artist. Operating a revolutionary synthesis between Pop Art and Surrealism, Nathan Sawaya has used the Lego brick, a popular object, to ensure its place on the contemporary art scene.
Real or fictional, characters and objects created by Nathan Sawaya will be appreciated by the most sophisticated contemporary art lovers and the general public.
At the end of the exhibition, the play area will welcome children and adults. Lego bricks and DC Comics ™ video game will be available to you, inviting you to unleash your creativity.
