Until July 11th, 2016, The Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais is home to an important retrospective exhibition Seydou Keïta.
Dedicated to the work of the Malian photographer, Seydou Keïta (1921 — 2001), this exhibition aims at presenting a selection of the most exceptional and rare photographs taken by this talented artist during the most significant period in his career.
Noted for being one of the most aspiring artists, Seydou Keïta was actually a self-taught photograph who started taking his very first photographs at the age of 14.
In 1948, he launched his first studio, in Bamako-Koura, and became specialized in black and white portrait photographs.
Seydou Keïta exhibition at the Grand Palais will offer you the opportunity to see a selection of around 300 unique photographs captured by Keïta, along with many other prints.
