After a successful first edition, the Graphic Design Festival in Paris returns from January 7 to February 17, 2015 to celebrate graphic arts and its businesses.
Like last year, the Docks-City of Fashion and Design, the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand, the Gaite Lyrique, the MK2 Bibliothèque and even JCDecaux advertising totems on the Champs-Elysées, all will be holding outdoor exhibitions, lectures, film screenings, events that will surely change our perception of an unknown artistic field and to reveal to the world the big names in graphic design; more than 200 graphic designers will be featured during this festival.
Celebrating Earth will be exhibited in the heart of Paris at Hotel de Ville starting from January 26. This special exhibition has gathered 40 French and International graphic designers who have imagined how to "Celebrate Earth" from different perspectives.
Other exhibitions around various themes like the book in the world, the history of alternative journals and many others will be presented at the International City of Arts.
Besides, there will be film screenings and lectures which will be offered at the Museum of Decorative Arts, in partnership with Les Films d'ici.
This year, the organizers of the Graphic Design Festival Graphic wish to publish a reference book of over 500 pages bringing together works rarely reproduced.
Guests staying at Les Grands Hotels and who are fans of graphic arts will enjoy one of a kinf festival as the Graphic Design Festival is the first international event entirely dedicated to the advancement of graphic design in all shapes and forms.
