The autumn series at Le Petit Palais in Paris looks at the life and works of artists based in Naples. Together with the Museo di Capodimonte and Museo del Prado, among other collaborators, the gallery has brought together work by a series of artists from the area that may be lesser known to French audiences. It is a great chance to learn more and compare the styles and approaches over the season.
The latest offering is a show about Luca Giordano. This 17th-century painter is well respected for his body of work and influence at the time. Yet, this is the first time that any French gallery will offer a retrospective of his work. This over-due show should prove to be a popular part of the series and it runs from now until the 23rd of February 2020. Art lovers are encouraged to see this large collection while they can. There might not be a show of this scale again.
