The popular Parisian museum, the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris is host, from February 24 through August 20, 2017, to a new temporary exhibition that spotlights works of the Dutch painter and sculptor Karel Appel (1921 – 2006).
The works, which are a donation from the Karel Appel Foundation, include not only paintings and sculptures, but also big installations from the 1970s and 1990s.
“Karel Appel. Art as Celebration!” is an occasion for you, if you’re staying at one of the Grands Hotels Parisiens, to explore this artist’s best creations such as his Carnet d'art psychopathologique. It is also an interesting opportunity to find more about his life and career, starting from his CoBrA period until his death.
The Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris is a 10-minute walk from our hotels. Whether staying at the Hotel Powers, the Hotel Plaza Tour Eiffel, or the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal, don’t hesitate to mark this exhibition on your to-do list.
