Guernica at Musée Picasso

Guernica at Musée Picasso
From March 27th to July 29th, 2018, the Musée national Picasso-Paris together with the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía organizes an exhibition devoted to Guernica at Musée Picasso, Paris.

Guernica was created by Pablo Picasso. He painted it in 1937 and it instantly became a monumental piece of art. It depicts the atrocious massacre of innocent civilians during the war, in 1937, when the city of Guernica was bombed. The work is a synthesis of the plastic research that Picasso conducted for forty years and is one of the most popular art pieces in the world.

At the exhibition, there will be an exceptional loan of sketches from Museo Nacional Centro and the Archives Nationales de France. If you have not been there already, you should absolutely make time to visit it.
