Fortuny, a Spaniard in Venice

Fortuny, a Spaniard in Venice
In conjunction with the Museo del Traje in Madrid, and the Museo Fortuny in Venice, Musée Galliera will be holding, until January 7th, 2018, the exhibition “Fortuny, a Spaniard in Venice”.

Organized on the occasion of the Spanish Season, the retrospective features some of the best works of Mariano Fortuny, the popular Spanish designer who marked the history of European fashion, revealing the diversity and originality of his pieces. It is an opportunity for visitors to see more than one hundred unique costumes and items, including the famous 'Delphos gown’, which was designed in 1909. Additionally, many other costumes that were worn by notable figures such as Countess Greffulhe and her daughter Élaine, Oona Chaplin, Eleonora Duse, and Ellen Terry are exhibited.

Palais Galliera is located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, at a stone’s throw from the Jardins du Trocadéro and from our Grands Hotels Parisiens.
