Celebrate Nuit Blanche in Style at a Parisian Fashion Center

At the Cité de la Mode et du Design (Center of Fashion and Design), the goal is to demonstrate the creative power and the importance of fashion across the world. Paris, which has a reputation for its collective sense of style, seems to be the perfect place to house such a center. Even within the Cité de la Mode et du Design, there are various projects with specific aims for enriching the local, regional and global culture.

At the occasion of the Nuit Blanche, a citywide celebration in which museums and cultural centers are open all night, a special space in the Cité de la Mode et du Design will be presenting a night dedicated to fashion, in partnership with Galliera, Paris's museum of fashion.

This event will take place at Wanderlust, a part of the Cité dedicated to the interactions between fashion and other creative forces such as visual art, film and music. This Saturday, October 6, 2012, Wanderlust will present a short film capturing Tilda Swinton's performance in a piece entitled 'The Impossible Wardrobe.' The film will be shown in a continuous loop from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next day.

The Nuit Blanche at Wanderlust will be accompanied by DJ sets bringing together DJs and musicians of international fame. In addition to mingling with the arthouse crowd and clubbing with Parisians, you can also grab a bite to eat in this unique space. In fact, the restaurant's chef, Benjamin Darnaud, is no stranger to the spotlight, as he was a finalist on France's Top Chef and has hosted his own cooking show on TV. Mixing local products with international flavors, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner as well as brunch on Sundays.

Guests of one of the Grands Hotels Parisiens can therefore spend a glamourous Nuit Blanche mingling and dancing away at Wanderlust in the 13th arrondissement.
