Located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, until January 15th, 2018, the Musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet (MNAAG) will be presenting “Earth as Haven: Under the Canopy of Love” by the Indian artist Jayashree Chakravarty.
This comes on the occasion of the fifth contemporary carte blanche and will take place in the 4th-floor rotunda of the museum.
Highly renowned for her love for nature as well as for her dedication to caring for the environment, Jayashree was given the chance this time to present to the audiences a magnificent plant installation created by herself, a living vegetable work which is the first to be exhibited at the museum.
Cotton, branches, weeds, leaves, clay, strips of aluminum, Nepalese paper, sterns, loam, and many other different organic materials were used to create this naturalistic work, taking you to the universe of insects. The exhibit is really a must-see. So, book your ticket now and prepare yourself for a journey in the heart of the Earth.
