Starting from October 18th, 2017 until January 22nd, 2018, Musée Guimet (MNAAG) presents an exhibit that is held on the occasion of the third rendezvous with early photography, covering about one hundred amazing pieces depicting Burma.
Photographic works and images of Burma from the second half of the 19th century are presented, in addition to a unique corpus that has never been exhibited before.
The works on view were selected from the Burmese collection acquired by the museum in 1989, as well as from acquisitions between 1992 and 2015, and other recent donations.
The exhibition will give you a special opportunity to see fabulous monuments from the 19th century, everyday life scenes, the country's aristocracy and few ethnic minorities.
Being home to an extremely large and fascinating collection of Asian pieces of art, Musée Guimet has some of the finest pieces to show you. So, don't think twice about it and consider exploring them while staying in Paris.
Enjoy your stay! ;)
