Beyond Stars. The Mystical Landscape from Monet to Kandinsky

The Musée d’Orsay presents a new major exhibition, from March 14 until June 25, 2017, entitled “Beyond Stars. The Mystical Landscape from Monet to Kandinsky”.

Showcasing more than 100 artworks which vary from landscape paintings to works on paper, the exhibition is actually organized in an attempt to draw attention to the mystical aspect of the Symbolist landscape in a remarkable number of works by popular artists like Gauguin, Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Monet, and O’Keeffe.

“Beyond Stars. The Mystical Landscape from Monet to Kandinsky” is an opportunity for attendees to take a closer look at great masterpieces such as the Water Lilies (1907) by Monet, The Starry Night over the Rhone (1888) by Van Gogh, and Christ in the Garden of Olives (1889) by Gauguin.

Guests staying at the Hotel Plaza Tour Eiffel, the Hotel Powers, and the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal are within a small distance of less than 30 minutes' walk from the Musée d’Orsay.

The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto.
