Bentu, the exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation

Bentu, the exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation

The Louis Vuitton Foundation is honoring the Chinese contemporary art through a major exhibition, Bentu, held from January, 27, to May,2, 2016.

The Bentu exhibition brings together twelve Chinese artists of different generations, representing the turbulent changes that witnessed the contemporary artistic scene in China.

The 12 selected artists were selected for their work responding to the revolutions of the country: in fact, Liu Xiaodong, Xu Zhen and Liu Wei are well known in France for their outstanding personalities, each revealing the complexities of a society constantly changing through another work.

The works exhibited in the rooms of the Louis Vuitton Foundation unveil the new realities of the economy, ecology in China, and notably, the changes the country is undertaking, but also identity issues affecting Chinese generations.

Guests staying at one of our Grands Hotels Parisiens will be within a fifteen-minute drive from the Louis Vuitton Foundation to assist this significant exhibition held up to the 2nd of May, 2016.
