A solar shower? Sounds strange for a while, yet it’s as simple as it might seem: a totally ecological facility with a low tech system management and treatment of water, including solar heating and phyto-filtration.
The cabin is installed on the banks of the Seine from July, 21 to August, 26, 2015, and is designed to offer refreshment and relaxation times to cool off the hot Parisian summer. With a hammock lounge, an outdoor shower and a cloakroom, the Solar Shower hosts up to 4 persons, whether with family, friends or lovers, this is the perfect place to enjoy 45 minutes of well-being!
The cabin is perched at 4 meters above the ground in a temporary scaffolding structure, with a breathtaking view over the Seine and on the Promenade des Berges. It’s in fact an ephemeral structure including a hammock lounge, a cloakroom and an outdoor shower with stunning views of the Seine, and guess what, it’s for free, all you need is to book in advance and follow some security measures.
You just need to put a bathing suit as the cabin is visible from the outside, and have your ID car for the entrance. Remember that the water is meant to be reused for watering plants, so using shampoo and shower gel will be prohibited, as for the rest, you’ll be certainly having great times while taking your shower over the Seine.
